Neighbourhoods
El Cabanyal and the two neighbouring ex-villages, El Canyamelar and Cap-Francia, run along the Valencia beach from the port. Under a previous government they were run down and were slated to be demolished. But a campaign to save the pretty tiled houses got going and now they’re being restored. They have their own distinctive charm - wild graffiti, still a few ruins amidst the chic restored houses, and lots of very cool places to eat and meet.

Use the river bed park
Central Valencia is surrounded by a park planted in the city’s old river bed. It is beautiful - full of lush greenery and cool and inviting. Valencians are famously sporty and you’ll find people biking or working out everywhere.
