Because no trip to Livingston is complete if you don't stand in line for a SuperCheese. I prefer the mushroom and bacon version. And order your fries extra crispy if you like 'em that way. Also, flavored Cokes!

They'll tap you out after three beers, because that's the brewery rule in Montana. But you'll like it because you can order decent Mexican food from Fiesta En Jalisco next door.

Things to Do
Chances are, you already planned to go here. Pro tip: have a drink and some food at the bar then pay the bartender to go to the pool. Remember you're 25 miles from home. Pro High School Tip: wear your towel and swimsuit under your clothes and go through the hotel and try to access the pool for free. Might not work as well these days.

It's busy these days, but a short 1-mile beautiful hike. If you have the legs, keep going another 4 miles to the lake. It gets steep.

City/town information
Livingston was born as a railroad town and still is. You'll hear trains no matter where you are, but the views and people will keep you coming back. Get used to the wind, the art scene, the bar scene, the flyfishing scene, river rafting and the views. We all live here for a reason. I grew up here and it's why I've come back.

If you're going to Chico, stop by the Old Saloon and The Livery Stable to hang with the river rats and maybe catch some live music.

Go check out the town 51 miles south that's the actual north entrance to Yellowstone. Maybe you can find the boiling river for a soak.

Getting Around Town
You'll probably end up driving everywhere, but it's less than a 10-minute bike ride to downtown. If you're a walker, double that.
