La Triangu, 10min walking distance, is a bar that offers drinks, pintxos for breakfast (also avocado toast if you are fast enough to order :) ) and meals like burgers, sandwhiches etc. big portions - good price. It is strategically located between the beaches. Many surfers and young people hang out here. Pets are allowed, so also expect to see many dogs around :)

40min walking distance - I would recommend to go by bike or by car. Although, we love doing the walk there! it is wonderful, specially with the dog, since they can walk/run freely :) you walk along the cliffs with stunning views to the ocean and the Biscay coast.
You can have fingerfood and drinks in Fangaloka. It is a super nice place to enjoy specially the sunsets! But if you stay for the sunset, then I wouldn't recommend to go back walking.

In Getxo (accessible by Metro (stop: Algorta) or by car). Restaurante Tellagorri has a wide range of dishes - all of them very delicious. Only one warning: BIG PORTIONS! :)
I would recommend to book a table in advance.
During the day they offer also pintxos and many local people like to have pre-lunch or an afternoon drink there.

Playa Gorrondatxe (or as we locals call it "Azkorri") it has been my favorite beach together with La Salbaje forever.
Azkorri is in a walking distance of 30-40min from the flat. Near Fangaloka Style. It is more quiet than other beaches (and just as heads up: there is a nudist area on the left corner!). You could combine with a walk to the beach and then drinks in Fangaloka.

City/town information
With the metro you will be in Getxo in 9 mins. I would recommend to get out in Bidezabal and from there do the following walking route:
- Arrigunaga and "El Molino", La Galea walk
- Algorta town - Old port (Puerto Viejo)
- Ereaga walk (paseo de Ereaga)
- Puente Colgante (is the most famous bridge in Bizkaia and an impressive symbol of the Industrial Revolution)
- Take the underground in Areeta to go back to Sopela.
Or you can start going with the metro to Areeta and walk all the way to Algorta, then Arrigunaga and La Galea. And eventually take the underground in Bidezabal to Sopela.

Bilbao offers many activities for solo travelers, group travelers or families. You don't want to miss, if you are a football fan the Catedral (San Mames football stadium). If you love architecture, must visit places are:
- Izozaki towers
- Zubizuri
- Guggenheim museum
Overall, I would recommend to walk and get lost in the city :) You can get the Metro in Sopela and get out in the San Mames stop. And from there, follow the riverside walking to Casco Viejo.

Galea walk Sopela - Getxo
It is one of the most stunning walks - From the flat you start by walking towards La Salbaje beach and continue the walk up hill. There is no way to get lost. If you follow that road it will bring you to Azkorri beach and Fangaloka Style.
If you want to continue further, you can also reach Getxo. Just follow the path :)
Dogs are allowed to be free in these walks.

Coast Trail Sopela - Barrika - Plentzia
Easy walk with stunning views to the Biscay coast. You will discover also secret beaches near the flat, where not many people are there. During summer time, when dogs are forbidden to be on the main beaches, we like to bring our dog to these other spots.
Once you reach Plentzia, you can take the Metro back to Sopela.
