Hire a bike!
There is a great cycling network which runs along old disused train lines and is a great way to get around the city and one of the best ways to see it too.
You don't even need go on main roads so makes for a safe day out for all the family.
There are a few bike hire & tours available nearby.

WEE TIPS FOR YOUR STAY
A few things we sometimes forget to mention or guests ask about;
There is a pole with a hook in the hallway which is for closing the curtains in the bedrooms and also for the top window in the bathroom.
Under the lower single bed, there is some extra pillows.
Also note there is little hidden drawers in the top two drawers above the cutlery & utensils in the kitchen.
HEATING - Just use the top left button to switch heating on.
Then twist the dial to desired temperature and then push in to confirm.

City Connections
Leith is only 2 miles/3.2km from Edinburgh.
A brisk 30 minute walk (at least downhill!).
Easiest connection now is the tram to the city which run every 7 minutes!
All day tickets are only £5 which you can use all day on both buses & trams (airport connection is additional).
Closest stop is 'The Shore' for the tram.
Victoria Quay (at the end of Dock Street) is the closest bus stop where you can grab the 16 to the city.
