Sightseeing
This is the City Hall of Stockholm, and the location of the Nobel Prize dinner every year. Be sure to take a guided tour. The Gold Hall upstairs is all gold-leaf mosaic. The view from the top of the tower (only open May to September) is not to be missed. Right on the water so you can soak it all in. This is also where the non-church weddings take place (book far in advance)!

This is the Old Town, the original beginnings of Stockholm, dating from the 1200s. Tiny streets, lots of cafes and restaurants, some good sightseeing, and many handwork/touristy shops. Can't miss a walk through Gamla Stan.

6-16 DjurgårdsvägenGotta love the Swedish sense of humility. In the 1600's they built a huge warship. On its maiden voyage, on parade before hundreds of citizen onlookers, it sank. So they made a museum out of it. The giant ship is intact inside the museum building. Haven't seen anything like it anywhere else.
