Lots to do around the Georgian Merrion Square! You have the statue of Oscar Wilde in the park itself and directly outside across the road is where Oscar Wilde lived and you can visit this house. On a Saturday and Sunday morning there is an Art Sale of local Artistis paintings. It has a children's playground and has a beautiful landscape setting. Outside the park is the National Art Museum.

This is a favourite of ours, The Hugh Lane Gallery, with art spanning across the ages. If you're interested in Frances Bacon, they have his actual studio which they brought from his London flat and it is exactly as it was here in this museum. Their café is also a treat! This is also FREE!
