Hiking
This is a lovely hike with great views that finishes at a beautiful rock arch. If any ice or snow is possible, please wear traction (ie. spikes) on your boots.
You can leave from the house and either park a vehicle at Chautauqua park or else walk up directly (~10 min walk). It’s a truly beautiful hike and will feel like a safe adventure while giving you a quintessential Boulder experience.

This lovely hike is quite accessible for various fitness levels and can be accessed directly from the house. Just walk South on 17th to the Four Pines Trailhead. The top of the hike as a surprise hand stacked rock sofas to enjoy stunning views!

Cycling
For guests interested in riding bikes, this road ride is wonderful. Many people ride to the Amphitheater and turn around to come back down, but if you want a challenge then you can ride all of the way to Gross Reservoir.

Ski or Board
Eldora is about 30 mins (depending on traffic and road conditions) from the cottage. Being that close, you can ski in the morning and then enjoy the day back in Boulder. It’s smaller than other resorts, but Eldora has great options for all levels of skiers or boarders as well as superb Nordic skiing.
