Food scene

This is hands down my favorite sushi bar, and I have been to a few. From traditional sushimi to California style sauced-up creations, they have the ingredients and work magic.

This is a favorite for visitors and locals. they have wonderful mixologists behind the bar. As well as an inventive chef. May I suggest the short rib tacos, they are AMAZING!! (* the secret tip is to go to the bar to relish in their happy hour between 3-6pm)

Because sometimes you just need to know where you can get a great slice from. They have bomb hot wings, and pasta too.

Tradition style, low key goodness. This is where I go when I have that need for something a little spicy.

Right next door and so good. Homestyle, fresh-made deliciousness. We eat here quite a bit. The salads are crisp, stacked with toppings, and good. I think they get the bread from the pastry shop next door, I really have not found something I don't like there yet

Fun and lively. Streetside has a good tap selection and mixes the best raspberry lemon drop in town.

A homemade wheat toast... if that doesn't get ya. They have everything from eggs benedict, huevos rancheros to clubs, and french dips. There is a reason this spot has been open forever and everyone seems to know everyone else.

Sightseeing

Just 15 minutes up the road in San Miguel is history you can walk through. If you are lucky enough to be here during the Christmas performance held inside the chapel, I highly suggest it.

Wineries Worth Mentioning

Offering smooth, balanced wines in a beautiful location. This winery is one of the top choices I have for my guests. The Paso location has recently started offering charcuterie trays as an optional additon to your tasting. I suggest you visit the web page and make a reservation.

If you follow Robert Parker you have heard of them. If you love quality crafted wine. This is your spot. Visit their web page for a reservation. The owner and winemaker, Matt Trevisan, creates and mentors the top-rated wines coming from this appellation. If you are not able to get a reservation for the tasting room, they have an off-label, Slacker, they pour on the back patio that is worth a taste.

Whats there to do in Paso besides drinking

Paso Robles became famous originally because of their natural mineral hot springs. They are not lost to history. One of the easiest and best ways to enjoy the waters these days is at River Oaks. Just past the executive golf course east of town, you will find this spa and hot springs retreat.
