This is a cool little town. It has great views, great food, the San Juan River flowing right through town and the infamous Pagosa Hot Springs in the center of town.

Durango is the epicenter of the area. It has music in the park on weekends. Each weekend, in the summer, has some festival or event happening in the Central Business District. There are shops to peruse and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. With rafting, skiing, rock climbing, and the steam engine train, Durango has so much to offer.

The local trolley bus can take you around town. It goes all over Durango.

This train is an old time steam engine. It is a 3 hour train trip up through the Animas River. The train transports you from Durango to Silverton. Silverton is a cool mining town that comes alive in the summer months. This is a must see and you should book ahead of time.

When traveling to Durango, you have to consider booking a rafting trip. The 2 hour rafting trip is the best trip for your money. It takes you through downtown, white water rapids, under a train bridge and along the river trail with trail travelers.
