This is the location for beautiful views of Lake Onalaska any time of day, but especially at sunset. There are also walking trails to the south of the Spillway in the backwater woodlands. The Spillway is about 3/4 of mile long and about a twenty minute walk from the Cottage.

Walking trails, ballpark, picnic area. The private La Crosse Sailboat Club is located on the north end of the park. Sailboat races and regattas on Lake Onalaska are held on weeknights and weekends. A public viewing platform is located at the end of Lakeshore Drive, which is the road leading to the park and Sailboat Club.
