Just a quick trip across the Gandy bridge from my place is St. Petersburg. Filled with beaches it also has a lively downtown area and you can't miss the St. Pete pier, Dali museum and the Great Banyan Trees near the Vinoy.

Home to the most popular of beaches Clearwater is a must see. Plenty of things to do, see and eat. Seafood galore, shopping and sunsets on the daily. Pier 60 has street performers, kids activities and family fun too.
