Mexico's gondola boat rides. This place is very lively on weekends and you can find live mariachi/bands playing, food vendors and drinks served on your boat. It's a very fun experience for the family. Make sure to be dropped off at "Embarcadero Nuevo Nativitas" and don't pay more than $500 pesos an hour or $900 pesos for two hours (which we recommend) Operating 10am-7pm
Embarcadero Cuemanco is more family friendly and controlled by the Marina Military for safety. Make sure to take the "Super Via Poniente" Freeway and "Segundo Piso del Periferico" Freeway to get there much faster and safer. 35min using this route.

There are many "Valles" in the area, but the one we like is closest to the city and is called El Zarco. You can fish your own rainbow trout at "El Truchon" and the restaurant will cook it for you. Try the wild mushroom soup and cafe de Olla. There's Horse riding, 4 wheelers for rent here. Bring a jacket since it gets cold even in Summer and umbrella in case it rains. Go have breakfast and stay for lunch. On the way back to the city, make sure you stop by at "Las Fresas (del km 23)" for their strawberries and cream.
