Excellent trail, not too trafficked. Multiple entry points. One of the easiest ways is to drive in off 30th in Pleasant Valley. Also lots of smaller trails that are part of this, but I have seen bears on the smaller more out of the way ones. Also great for Mountain biking

Excellent network of trails. I prefer to enter of 31st Street by Rudy's since there is a bigger lot and I think more interesting views as you wind up to the top mesa. This is MY FAV PLACE TO MTB pretty much across CO and NorCal. Maps:

Red Rock Canyon Open Space
3550 W High StExcellent network of trails. I prefer to enter of 31st Street by Rudy's since there is a bigger lot and I think more interesting views as you wind up to the top mesa. This is MY FAV PLACE TO MTB pretty much across CO and NorCal. Maps:

Intemann West Trail Head

Excellent winding trail (very busy), for a less trafficked route, look up "Old Bar Trail" which winds up along the river and you can scale rocks through the chilly waterfalls.

Old Barr Trail: Don't go right into the parking lot, continue up Ruxton until there are no houses (cannot drive up here).
Suggest is to park in town if Ruxton is too loaded, or by memorial park and take the shuttle.
