Clovelly village remains a fully functioning working village, clinging to a 400 foot cliff, overlooking Bideford Bay. It has no vehicular traffic on its steeply cobbled street, just donkeys and sledges. Take a walk along the beach to the waterfall, but make sure you go when the tide is out!

Sandymouth sits along a stretch of coast between Bude and Morwenstow, one of Cornwall’s wild and dramatic corners with a character all of its own. We advise you to check out the tide times as Sandymouth really is at its best at low tide. It does have life guards in the school summer holidays and many people surf here. Please note dogs are allowed off the lead all year round.

We are located close to the Tarka Trail, where you can pick it up at Great Torrington, which is a 5 mile drive from the farm. The Tarka Trail is a safe, traffic free trail and is popular with experienced cyclists and families alike. It runs along the disused railway line which has the benefit of being relatively flat with only small uphill and downhill gradients. The trail runs alongside the River Torridge which inspired Henry Williamson to write Tarka the Otter. The Tarka Trail is also good for walking or running.
Cycle hire is available at Torrington Cycle Hire 01805 622633 www.torringtoncyclehire.com
