Beautiful Copper Harbor is located at the tip of the Upper Peninsula. It is the gateway to Isle Royale. It has 37 miles of scenic single track mountain bike trails. It’s a must visit while in the Keweenaw.

When the Copper rush started in the early 1870s Copper Harbor became a well known entry to the Peninsula as well as an outlet for copper leaving the Keweenaw. Fort Wilkins was built for the Army to occupy and keep order.
