Great day out!
A visit to The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre feels like you are miles from anywhere - but yet it is just a short walk from your cottage at Staball'ard.

A 40 minute drive from Aberfoyle but both The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel are worth seeing and doing the tour of. There is a cafe at both sites and 'The Boardwalk' restaurant close to The Falkirk Wheel is a really nice place to eat.

We like to take a picnic and find a space at the edge of the park to have lunch.
On the way home The Smiddy Farm Shop is worth a visit to pick up some nice food for dinner.

There are just so many things to do in the area that we couldn't possibly list them all but we would recommend a visit down to the visitor centre on the Main Street where there is lots of information on what's on.
