In all reality this area is triangle going from the Mucem all the way down the viex port to this located spot on the map. It's the old Marseille with lots of artist, cafés and craft shop for tourists.

You can see from almost anywhere in Marseille. it's the very monument that defines the city. If you don't feel like walking all the way up, buses and small trains are a great way to go there

A much bigger beach than the Prophète with nice pic-nic area behind, clean toilets, and a summer fair next to it. It's not a sand beach but a small pebble beach which is typical of this part of France
