Local history here is on tap at this small museum and shop. From May through October you can tour the childhood home of the great American poet. We love the garden. A great place to picnic in summer or just sit slightly removed from the city din.

Seafood in a beautiful room overlooking Portland's waterfront. Valet parking -- a good thing in this busy part of town. Though you can walk - it's about 25 minutes from the barn.

So glad to have this lovely restaurant in the neighborhood - just a short walk from the barn. We love the food here and the crisp look of the place. If you want to go downscale, try Ruski's across the street.
