Île d'Orléans is only about a 15 minute drive from downtown Quebec City or Old town. The island has lots of history and some of the oldest (private) homes on the continent. There are lots of agricultural activities including u-pics for all sorts of fruit and wine tasting.

Also a must and adjacent to Vieux-Quebec. This 240 acre federal parc is steeped in Canadian history. I would encourage visitors to spend time here. You do not want to miss this.
