Food Scene
This is THE brunch destination. It can be crowded and a bit chaotic but the space is divine (light and modern), you're next to some great shopping and there is choice for all. You can eat vegan breakfast whilst someone else tucks into a meaty lunch. Reasonable prices and really tasty food. Good ethics (they don't do disposable cups and they buy organic etc).

Stop here for coffee and cake or a lovely fresh lunch before walking along the river from Widcombe Lock. You can walk to the George and back (the pub is nothing special but you can have a drink there, lovely walk) or all the way to Bradford on Avon.

Simple brunch and lunch menu. Personally I would head here for a coffee and a slab of cake and enjoy it whilst sitting in the sun outside, people watching. Also has a great interiors shop and clothing range in the same venue. Generous slices of cake!

Arts & Culture
I don't need to comment on why this would be a destination! The obligatory tourist photo spot. Stop on the Crescent for a picnic. Stroll up Margaret's Buildings for coffee and vintage clothing. Walk along the Crescent and peer into the gardens/admire the art in the fine homes...stop at the Royal Crescent hotel for a glass of fiz, then then walk up Marlborough Buildings and stop at the Marlborough Tavern for pub grub, uphill on the golf course and soak up the incredible views.

I would pop in here before a canal-side walk. I'd explore Great Pulteney Street and wander through Henrietta Gardens with a coffee and book in hand.

Drinks & Nightlife
I would stop here for a glass of fizz on a sunny day. On the iconic Royal Crescent, this garden is civilised and hidden away. Not cheap to eat or drink but for a special glass of something this is a great spot.

Not the most exciting area in my opinion (Bear Flat, family residential area near the busy Wellsway) but this park has an almost 360 degree view of Bath and is great to sit and relax. Not far from Widcombe and the lovely canal walks there.

This is a stunning National Trust location. No car park so it's a walk/Uber uphill but worth it. Just so pretty to admire the views. Some walking but not hiking as such once you're in. Little hut does basic snacks and cakes.
