Food Scene
For brunch, the slow country is out of this world. everything is really good there. if you go for dinner ask what is on the secret menu. they've had a 235 day dry aged NY strip and a Wagyu Tomahawk steak.

Hash House may be one of the best breakfast restaurants in the country. My favorite dishes there are the sage fried chicken benedict and the chicken and waffles tower, but the entire menu is truly inspired.

Best Beef ribs and onion rings in San Diego. The ribs are incredibly meaty, and so tender you can take apart with your fingers. For dinner be prepared for a long wait.

Drinks & Nightlife
An amazing selection of IPA's, stouts, ciders and sours. They have food trucks every day of the week and the beer and cheese pairings are as classy as they are delicious.

Parks & Nature
Probably San Diego's most popular hiking trail. It takes about 40 minutes each way depending on your pace but if you're traveling and don't want to spend all day on a hike this is a nice quick hike with beautiful views and easy access.

Arts & Culture
Although I categorized this as Museums (because it is where you'll go to check out the many museums) Balboa Park is a must see gem. The Museums are great, but you also have great hiking trails, botanical garden, stunning japanese garden, and much more. This is a San Diego must see.
