Cheap but very good = Save $$$! Moules frites, fish and chips, etc. The main course of the day is ALWAYS excellent (normally 70 DKK). Long lines means coming early and waiting (but it's worth it).

Quality grease!
Get the Le Coq Dog for a different kind of hot dog! Or try a sandwich, the 'steak' one is really good, and they'll cut it in half for two people, if you just need a smaller bite.

Cosy area. Cafes and small shops. Close to train station. And shopping center 'Bruuns Galleri', which is boring, but practical if you need cheap goods from the supermarket, or a restroom.

Hands down THE BEST place to bring small kids! Mainly because everyone else do, so nobody minds your kid screaming or running about… Sounds awful, but it really isn't - maybe because of the cake! :)
