Irelands only cable car, what a special place, bring a packed lunch and hike the island....just WOW!!
Lovely fresh fish by the cable car if you fancy it after the hikes.

Beautiful coast road drive or walking trails. You will see the tallest standing stone in Europe from the road side, the Hag of Beara, and the Beautiful Kilcatherine graveyard.

Great spin for the adventurer in you, the road winds up steep hills and falls down the other side into the kingdom of Kerry. Great for bikes.

One of my favourite spots, beatiful walks and trails, lighthouse on Ardnakinna, there is the hotel in the middle of the Island and the Lookout at the ferry side opposite Castletownbere, the village of Rerrin has a lovely, shop, cafe and bar. Saturday run there all year round, leaves at 9am.

Food scene
One of the largest fishing ports in Ireland. Can take a ferry for walk on or for your car to Bere Island from across from Super Valu or the Pontoon. Wonderful food in this town, lots to choose from. Dzogchen Beara is a must visit, lovely cafe there too. Lios Lara for horse riding. Golf just outside the town. Sea swimming in Sandmount or Tralahan. O'Sullivan Bere castle and Dunboy Mansion.
