Worlds 6. longest waterfall is approx. 40 minutes drive and 15 min walk (ok uphill track) from Solvik. All waterfalls are most spectacular at early summer due to snowmelting at the mountains.

If you want longer trips, you may walk in the direction of Innerdalstårnet. The walk towards it is very nice with beautiful highland landscape, but the Innerdalstårnet itself is for climbers.

If you want longer trips, you may walk in the direction of Innerdalstårnet. The walk towards it is very nice with beautiful highland landscape, but the Innerdalstårnet itself is for climbers.
Museum of the former property of Lady Arbuthnott, that lived in Sunndal in great contrast to the local farmers life. Every year in June the story of the lady is shown as a musical, worth seeing. 40 minutes drive from Solvik.

A recommended sightseeing if you like spectacular nature, you will for sure find it here. Follow the road from Sunndalsøra (30 min drive from Solvik), then drive up "Litjdalen" to experience a road between steep mountains (even popular for basejumping), and stop at the pristine Dalavatnet. In season you may also see Tågfossen.
Driving further, this road will lead to Aursjødammen - Torbudalen (great mountain landscapes) and is even possible for a longer roundtrip towards Eikesdalen (Mardalsfossen), before returning to Solvik.
