Puerto Rico 681The Statue of Christopher Columbus is located on the coast of Arecibo, specifically on highway #681, after the Cueva del Indio, if one goes in the direction of Arecibo to Barceloneta. It is one of the tallest statues in the world, standing 268 feet tall and weighing approximately 6.5 tons. Comparing it to the Statue of Liberty, which is 151 feet; but when adding its base, it measures 305 feet. This architectural work is not yet open to the public, but it is already visited and admired from the street by thousands of Puerto Ricans and tourists. It is expected to be inaugurated in the first months.

La Estatua de Cristobal Colón está ubicada en la costa de Arecibo, específicamente en carretera #681, luego de la Cueva del Indio, si uno va en dirección de Arecibo a Barceloneta. Es una de las estatuas más altas del mundo, con una altura de 268 pies y un peso aproximado de 6.5 toneladas. Comparándola con la Estatua de la Libertad, cual mide 151 pies; pero al añadirle su base, la misma mide 305 pies. Esta obra arquitectónica, todavía no está abierta al público, pero ya es visitada y admirada desde la calle por miles de puertorriqueños y turistas. La misma se espera que sea inaugurada en los primeros meses.
