Neighborhoods
Our home is located in Queen Village, which makes it a great first neighborhood to explore!
There are tons of historic homes in our neighborhood, and folks lovingly decorate their front yards with flowers & veggies in the spring and summer months. There are quite a few pedestrian only blocks which are great for photos and dog walking. S Hancock is one of my favorites.

Society Hill is the neighborhood directly North of Queen Village. Pine & Spruce Street have particularly beautiful historic homes.
The neighborhood is quiet and scenic with great coffee shops and pocket parks.
If you are up for a long walk, I highly recommend walking North to Pine Street and then heading West on Pine all the way to the Rittenhouse Square area.

Come here for the BEST pastry & breakfast sandwiches. And, its on the corner of our block!
Walk East on Fitzwater Street, cross Front Street and you will see it. A line typically forms on Saturday & Sunday, but they do 'pastry pre-order' on their website. Highly recommend doing this to avoid the line.
If you are having a hard time deciding what to order, you can't go wrong with the bomboloni, morning buns, and pistachio cornetti.

Great for drinks and food in the front!
If you’re celebrating something special, call ahead and reserve seats at the private omakase counter in the back. You’ll have front row seats as the chef prepares your food, so it’s basically dinner and a show.

This Bella Vista spot is already the best restaurant in the area, and the excellent Thai food and night-out-BYOB energy make it a place we’d like to hang out at for the remainder of our years on earth.
We highly recommend the Shaw Maung - blue flower shaped chicken dumplings with chicken & peanuts (pictured here), and the southern style chicken curry.

La Colombe is headquartered in Philadelphia, and their Fishtown location cannot be missed. Great industrial warehouse vibes and excellent coffee. We stop every time we're in the Fishtown neighborhood.
If undecided on what to order, we highly recommend an iced black&tan. Pure black coldbrew over ice & topped with draft latte.

One of our favorite restaurants in Philly. We could live off of the hummus and pita. Highly recommend checking this one out.
Laser Wolf opened in early 2020, right before the pandemic. The restaurant serves grilled meats, veggies and fish alongside hummus and salatim (small salads, spreads and sides). In May of 2020, despite the struggles of operating a restaurant amid COVID-19 restrictions, Laser Wolf was named one of GQ's best restaurants in America.
