Hiking
Scenic alpine walks for all ages and fitness levels. Beautiful during all seasons but spectacular in autumn if you love to see the changing colours! Dove Lake circuit is a good if you don’t fancy step climbs and stairs but if you want a challenge the walk to Kitcheners Hut is well worth it and then on to Cradles summit. The 360 views at the top of Cradle are spectacular as is the sense of accomplishment 😅

Tarkine Wilderness Walk

Wonderful place to visit for a stroll through scenic gardens. The lake in the middle has two resident pairs of platypuses which you often can see frolicking around! Look for the bubbles in the water and follow them until the platypus surfaces. If you manage to get there at a quiet time you will often see them frolicking !

Fantastic tour of one of the best preserved convict prisons in Australia. Also the scenery on the way is spectacular. It is a full day tour from Hobart so you would want to overnight in Hobart after.
