Endless collection of galleries. Starts about a half mile SE of the Plaza and continues up the hill for about a mile. Don’t miss the side streets and tiny courtyards that intersect Canyon Road. A few interesting restaurants half way up the hill – The Teahouse; counter culture eclectic – lunch only; El Farol - great Tapas!, open for lunch and dinner; & Geronimo – High end cuisine - expensive. All the Galleries are free. On street free parking is limited but available early. Pay Parking is available midway up the hill (near the restaurants). Friday evenings (5-7) many galleries host wine & cheese receptions.

Kasha Katuwe – (Native for Mystical Tent Rocks)
o The journey is great and the destination even better!
Recently designated a U.S. National Monument, the rock
formations are truly mystical. Hike through a spectacularly
narrow slot canyon that dramatically opens to these
formations. Bring at least two bottles of water per person,
gigabytes of “film”, hat, & comfortable shoes. This is in a
remote area, & water is not available at the Rocks entrance.
About an hour South of Santa Fe.
