The market town of Cirencester is the old Roman capital of the Cotswolds once known as Corinium. It has a beautiful large church sitting in the old Abbey Grounds. There are lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and a market on Friday. There is entrance to the Bathurst Park at the top Cecily Hill with walks up to Cirencester Polo ground. Cirencester has a wonderful outdoor pool and fantastic Corinium Museum both worth visiting.

There is something for everyone in the Water Park - from angling, archery, paintballing, sailing, waterskiing, bike riding, paddleboarding, wild swimming. South Cerney has a range of local amenities including a Post Office, Co-op, Pharmacy and doctor, hairdresser, Indian takeaway and fish and chip shop. There are three public houses; The Old George, The Elliot Arms and The Royal Oak.
