It’s best to explore the best of the Bellarine by car.

While a car can help you explore the surrounds, Portarlington is a small town and great place to walk or cycle, nothing is very far. If you come by ferry, there are several tour companies that will get you to the wonderful wineries in the region.

World class vineyards aplenty

Not just for the wonderful cool climate wines, many of the wineries have amazing dining experiences with spectacular uninterrupted bay views. Make time to visit at least one!

Portarlington is famous for mussels!

Buy them fresh from the pier and cook up a delicious batch of ‘moules mariniere’ or book a table at The Little Mussel Cafe to find out for yourself why they’re famous.
