If you have extra time, you should visit the iconic Multnomah Falls. I recommend making a loop going up the Washington side up highway 14 and cross over the Columbia River at Bridge of the gods (toll bridge) or Hood River bridge. It is a full day, but you get a lot in if you are not staying in the area for multiple days.

Rent kayaks and spend a day at the lake. Lacamas lake and Round lake are separated with a bridge that you can kayak between both lakes. Lacamas lake allows motor boats while Round lake is a small non motor lake. I highly recommend spending the day at the lake.
