Burt Lake State Park is located in the SE corner of Burt Lake and has 2000 feet of sandy shoreline. You can camp, fish and sight see here. It is open year-round. There is a 1 mile hiking trail also located at the park.

There is a large sandbar at the mouth of the Cheboygan River and Mullett Lake where you can swim and relax. In the summer, this is where "Music at the Mouth" is where live bands play music on floating stage on Saturdays.
