The Red is home to the second-most natural arches in the U.S. (after Utah). Choose a hike up to the top of the natural bridge and enjoy the view. The natural bridge has more visitors than any place because of its beauty and accessibility, I recommend going early in the morning to beat the crowds and catch the sunrise :)

Muir Valley is one of my favorite areas to rock climb in the Red. It boasts spectacular views, great hiking, stunning cliffs, plants, trees, and lots of animals! A bonus of visiting this place is that I have an annual parking pass, so you don't have to pay the $10 parking fee :) Enjoy!

Driving around the Red
When you are driving around the Red it is best to go slow and watch for cars coming around the sharp turns (there are many of them). Take your time and don't forget to enjoy the breathtaking views that are always around you.

Rain Gear
Bring a light rain jacket with you and throw it in your pack. You won't notice the weight and will be thankful you aren't suffering like all the tourists who swore the weather app said it wouldn't rain.

Bring shoes to hike in!
Bring a sturdy pair of hiking boots or hiking sandals! There are trails everywhere throughout the Red you can adventure on, which makes solid footwear a must.

Bring some cash
Most places around the Red accept credit cards now, but some still work on a cash basis or charge a small fee for using a credit card. One of my favorite climbing areas charges a $10 cash parking fee.
