A favourite place to visit; a busy fish village and tourist destination with interesting craft shops, cafes and restaurants. At low tide there are rock pools and a long beach to explore. Fish & chips on the beach listening to The Fishermen's Friends is an absolute treat!
If you don’t fancy the challenging walk to Port Issac it’s a short drive, follow the signs to Port Gaverne and then up the hill to the carpark on the right. From there it’s only a 5 minute walk down into the village. The village is steep, narrow and winding, few people drive into it twice.

On wet days it is always worth checking the weather in Looe or Polperro, although only an hours drive away the weather on the south coast can be completely different. When it’s cagoules and wellies on the north coast it can be shorts and flipflops on the south coast!
