The unsealed, natural track reveals wonderful native flora and stunning 360 degree views. The 800m rough bush track to the top of Mt Coolum is a local treasure. It's not for the unfit or the faint-hearted, but it's not too hard, either! Allow an hour to go to the top and return to the car park at a steady pace, although local runners go up and back in 20 minutes. The panoramic views are stunning and the track itself is an interesting experience. The ancient dome-shaped Mt Coolum is visible from most places and it's a satisfying experience to make it to the top of this wonderful local landmark.
