Great place to hang-out, drink cappuccinos, use the internet.
Nice space with indoor and outdoor seating.

Coffee here is my favorite in the city and when we go in for upscale whole beans they are Temple (or Blue Bottle which roasts their coffee in Sacramento but to date do not have a retail space here)

Conversion of former a neighborhood of warehouses and industrial shops, R Street’s historic structures are now home to dining, cocktails, entertainment, art and design.
Several new modern additions juxtapose well with the historic structures.
-We have not tried all of the restaurants here--we've not had the time yet! We have tried many though, some of our favs:
-Bawk! Its all about the fried chicken sandwich.
-Philz Coffee, good coffee, great outdoor space
-Shoki Ramen House
-Bottle and Barlow-drink and get your haircut! So long as the barber is staying dry...
-Ace of Spades-Great musical venue, Sacramento institution
R-Street Corridor dedicated some of the warehouse spaces to local artists. There are several galleries and design centers along the way including Verge Center for the Arts which has open Studios and Art Classes for all ages

Grab a bike and follow the bike/pedestrian trail. Best way to go is through East Sac along M street and ultimately cut-through Sac state. A scaled version of the Golden Gate Bridge crosses the river from the University and puts right on the trail. Go east for 20ish miles to Folsom, or west for 7-10 miles to reach Discovery Park and into old town Sacramento. You'll dodge pedestrians, turkeys and coyotes as you enjoy this car-free well-maintained trail.
