McLead Lake is one of the easiest hikes in the Mammoth Lakes Basin. Its less than a mile from the Horseshoe Lake parking lot with a moderate climb. The beautiful lake is surrounded by white sand beaches for relaxing or swimming.

There are also longer hikes, Shadow Lake is a medium length hike. Be sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and snacks or lunch; you will want to spend the day!
