Locals call this glass beach. Its the nursery for fish in the bay. Lots of glass from the old glass factory that closed but their waste washed ashore here and we used to pick up beach glass of all colors. Great for dogs.

clothing
We dress in layers as it can be chilly in the morning then it heats up. Comfortable shoes but you can wear flip flops until December. From December through February socks and shoes are advised. The winter can be cold as it can get down to about 40 degrees at night so bring a jacket.
