Southville is a recently gentrified area of Bristol and host to Upfest, Europe's largest street art and graffiti festival. The Tobacco Factory theatre is a must for culture vultures and souk kitchen is a fab middle eastern restaurant with a modern twist.

Named by Timeout as one of the top 50 coolest neighbourhoods in the world, Easton is a vibrant and multicultural pocket of the city and not far from our house. With a strong Indian and Pakistani influence, we recommend you check out the Easton Jamia Masjid mosque with its beautiful glass dome, the Sweet Mart to buy pretty much any global ingredient you can think of and the Thali Cafe for award winning Indian food in a bright and colourful setting. The Greenbank pub is a lovely family friendly pub and Este Kitchen, No12 Easton and Dela are brilliant cafes to enjoy brunch or a coffee.

See Bristol's famous colourful rows of houses in all its glory by walking along the harbourside. The SS Great Britain and M Shed are well worth a visit but our favourite place to survey the view is from the outside tables at the Cottage Inn. Across the river, check out pub-on-a-boat the Grain Barge and the Spoke and Stringer does fantastic brunches with a view.

Clifton is the area to go for stunning Georgian architecture, upmarket boutiques and lovely cafes. We recommend the White Lion pub for its terrace which has the best view of the Suspension Bridge in Bristol.
