Drinking
The pot still is a famous whisky bar which has a dizzying whisky selection and plenty of great ales. You can try a flight (3 whiskies) from all over Scotland or just have a singular dram of their "malt of the month" which is always special and always delicious (and cheap too!)! And the best part? It's literally just around the corner!

The park bar has live music from 8 pm every night. At weekends it's usually bouncing with people from the highlands and you're guaranteed a wee dance! If you're feeling ambitious, there are 3 bars in close vicinity to each other: the Islay, the Snaffle and the Park bar. They are known locally as "The Tuechter Triangle". Tuechter meaning someone from the highlands - pronounced "chooch-ter". All are great bars and you're guaranteed great craic!

Ok, you are just going to have to trust me on this one. Literally a hole in the wall falafel shop that sells the MOST insane falafel wraps for only £3. I've never been and not had to queue as Mohammed or one of his friends makes falafel wraps one by one with ingredients he's brought from home. A true hidden gem.

A little out the way and definitely small - Market coffee is always a winner in our household! You can sit in one of the three tables in there and work or read and feel really really Glaswegian. A true treat serving locally roasted coffee delivered fresh every week.

The Maltman, the pub next door is an absolute must-see spot on a Sunday from 2-5. Every week they host a big band session and it's like being transported back to the 1940s. The best part is it's just downstairs! Definitely worth a visit!

The Glasgow Subway is the perfect way to get around
One of the first subways in the world - the Glasgow subway is very quaint. A single line that runs in a loop around the city will take you to the west end in only 6 minutes! Plus - with a day ticket you can travel backwards and forwards at a very low cost!
