One of my favourite streets.. and so close - only 10mins away in Bulimba.
My top places on Oxford St -
The Upper Deck - for beer, wings and people watching from the deck
Il Milo - restaurant at the end of Oxford Street right near the Jetty (btw you can catch the ferry from here directly across to hamilton to get to Eat Street Markets! great location for lunch, and dog/people watching.
The '2nd hand shop' on Oxford St... just go there & have a look.
Revel Brewing Co. - lovely beers and outdoor seating.

Public Transport Tips
The nearest bus station to get you into the city is on Creek Road. You can walk there (10-15min walk) via cutting through the park on Todman street (see Map).
The nearest train station is Morningside train station.
You will need a ‘GO card’ to travel via TransLink bus, train (including Airtrain), ferry and tram services in greater Brisbane, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast regions. GO cards can be purchased at service stations and convenience stores. If you do not have a GO card yet, train stations do sell paper tickets.
