Anejo is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Hyannis (and probably the Cape).
It’s an upscale Mexican Bistro on Hyannis Main Street. Consistently amazing food and drink. Great, comfortable atmosphere.
Recommend the Tres Tacos (includes combination of their 3 top dishes) and Mango Caliente Margarita (you need to like spicy)
COVID-19 Update: Anejo does take-out. Their Tres Tacos are on the menu, but their Mango Caliente Margarita is not. Recommend substituting the Anejo House Margarita Kit.

Embargo is on Hyannis Main St and features Tapas and cocktails in a fun atmosphere. Upscale club/bar atmosphere. Large, diverse menu. This place is great for a date night or just a relaxing, fun evening. Often features live music. Attracts a slightly younger crowd than The West End, but you’ll see everyone there. Good for bachelorette parties.

The West End is warm and sophisticated, serving locally sourced seasonal fare and craft cocktails. Upscale atmosphere. Attracts a more middle-age crowd. Features a Sunday Jazz brunch. Good for bridal showers.

Hands-down the best pizza in the area and some say all of Boston (rates an impressive 7.7 by pizza reviewer David Portnoy in NYC who is originally from Boston).
Neapolitan-style pizza made in a wood-fired pizza oven. They also have a food truck that goes to parties and events.
They are located on Hyannis Main St.

Amazingly good; I highly recommend this place. Outside of Montreal, Canada, this place has the best croissants I’ve ever had. It literally is a hidden gem… it’s located in what looks like a hanger behind the airport. Many of the restaurants in the area get their baked goods from here.
Pastries are all amazing. Fantastic coffee. Excellent French onion soup and split pea soup. Delicious grilled cheese with homemade crusty french bread. Great place for breakfast or lunch. It’s an inviting atmosphere with a window so you can watch their commercial bakery operation while sipping coffee and eating pastries.

In my opinion, all the chinese food on the Cape is mediocre (I’m originally from NYC, so I’m a bit spoiled).
Dragon Lite is an old-school chinese restaurant on Hyannis Main Street. 17-min walk away. Decent food and tropical drinks. Comfortable, old-school atmosphere. Many people swear by Dragon Lite. The food isn’t bad in my opinion, but I wouldn’t call it amazing either. It’s decently good chinese food and that’s where I go.

This is an easy one… Alberto’s is the go-to place for Italian food. It’s a large, beautiful restaurant with many fireplaces that is located on Hyannis Main St.
Features traditional italian fare in a warm and inviting setting. Attracts a slightly older crowd. In my opinion, the food isn’t mind-blowing (I’m once again spoiled having lived in NYC for 19 years). It’s solid italian and probably the best you’ll find on the Cape.

Spanky’s Clam Shack is on the water in Hyannis Harbor right next to Hy-Line Harbor Cruise ships. It’s an old-school seafood restaurant; they often win for Best Seafood in the Mid-Cape area. Great clam chowder. I usually get the combo when I go there.

The Naked Oyster is an upscale seafood bistro. They use oysters from their own farm and have creative seafood dishes. Large wine list. Obviously, if you go there, I’d recommend the oysters. For desserts, the creme brulee is fantastic.

It’s a small, cozy restaurant, but some say it is the best restaurant in all the Cape. It has some of the best Thai cooked from scratch. I recommend the pad Thai, crab ragoon, red Thai coconut curry, and seafood curry- all are amazing. Family-owned and very good service. If you have the yearning for Thai, this is hands-down the place to go.

This is my favorite place for breakfast. Great omelets, pancakes, and coffee. They have 2 locations on Main St that are about equidistant from the house- one in the “main part” of the main street where all the shops are, and one further west across the street from Shaws. I recommend the one near Shaws since it is larger and tends to be less crowded.

Ironically, we probably order from Tropical Smoothie Cafe more than anyplace else. If you’re not sure what to eat, they have a nice menu of sandwiches and wraps. And of course, a very nice selection of delicious smoothies.

Very long beach. Divided between swimming and windsurfing. Large parking lot. Shell-filled sand. Considered by some to offer the best windsurfing on the Cape in the spring, summer and fall. The steady breezes, warm waters and consistent waves off Nantucket Sound draw windsurfers from all over. A beach house at the end of the lot provides restrooms, showers and a tasty snack bar. This is a large beach with plenty of parking space to accommodate visitors.

Very small beach, but known for their playground for kids. Barbecue grills. Popular place where beachgoers enjoy picnics and cookouts shaded by a pine grove. The park area is also the spot of two historical shrines, the John F. Kennedy Memorial and Korean War Memorial. This is also a good place to watch the boats traveling in and out of Hyannis Harbor. There is a playground for children next to the beach. Large parking. Considered a top beach on the Cape (not for the swimming/beach per-se, but for the overall pine grove picnic area and the war memorial).
