The place of Henry Lawson, with his poetry & scenes of the outback gold mining town of Gulgong, this historic little village is a 30km drive out of Mudgee, there are lots of little shops, original old buildings and narrow streets, it’s a step back in time, on planned weekends they have markets, the Henry Lawson festival and also the ‘opera house’ If you’re looking for a great pub meal, The Prince of Wales Hotel is a must.
