Sightseeing
My favorite hiking trails are the Gorge path up Cadillac or up Dorr, the Beehive Mt trail, South Ridge trail of Cadillac. Later in the season when the Peregrine Falcons have left their nests the Precipice and Jordan Cliffs trails are a good rush like Beehive (lots of exposed cliff face with iron rungs and ladders to climb).
If you want something more grounded then the board walks around Jordan Pond are great.
Driving up Cadillac Mt for sunrise or set is spectacular.
The Thuya and Azalea Gardens in Northeast Harbor are also amazingly beautiful and worth a visit.
Bring your bikes or rent a bike here at either of the rental shops in town because there are 57 miles of carriage roads for the use of hikers, bikers, horse riders, and horse-drawn carriages on the island! This diverse network of woodland roads is free of motor vehicles. There are 45 miles of roads within Acadia National Park and some of these allow for cross-country skiing and limited snowmobiling.

Later in the season when the Peregrine Falcons have left their nests the Precipice and Jordan Cliffs trails are a good rush like Beehive (lots of exposed cliff face with iron rungs and ladders to climb). Walking out to the top of Bar Island at low tied has the best view back across Bar Harbor and Acadia (20-30min from your door step)!
If you want something more grounded then the board walks around Jordan Pond are great. Also the board walks through Sieur de Monts Springs.

My Favorite Eats
My favorite places to eat dinner are Leary's Landing, Side Street Café, McKay's Public House, Annex, Gayln's, Thirsty Whale, Real Pizza, Rosalie's Pizzeria. You can go see a movie or a show at Criterion or Real Pizza. The Acadia Improv Comedy Theater is great fun and serves drinks and snacks. For breakfast my favorites are Café this Way, Two Cats, or sitting at the bar at Jordan's and watching them cook.
