Take buses or walk for short trip
I see a lot of tourists take the underground even for 1-2 stops, which cost at least £2.40 per trip, e.g from Piccadilly circus to Coven Garden. You can walk there in 8 minutes. Buses are also a great way to travel the city, it cost only £1.55 per hour regardless of how many buses you take.
Verkehrsmittel
Underground and train
Jubilee line is the fastest way to get around to Bond Street or Green Park for shopping and see the Buckingham palace. But if you want to go to Covent Garden or Piccadilly Circus from London Bridge, the fastest way is to take the overground train from the train station which will take you to Charing Cross in 7 minutes, train comes very often (every 5-7 mins) during weekdays but be sure to check the train time and status before you travel
Bräuche und Kultur
Tips are included in restaurants
But small change are always welcomed at small food vendors in the market

Contactless card works on Public Transport
You don’t need to buy an Oystercard and travel pass, even airport train from Gatwick and Heathrow accept contactless card. Please note that do not take Gatwick express from Gatwick airport, normal train is 5 minutes slower but half the price if you are travelling to London Bridge
