We love La Sardinia Loca - you will be greeted by friendly staff who will mix you up a signature cocktail on arrival and seat you in a beautiful convict brick courtyard encased in fairy lights. Perfect for summery evenings or cold winter nights (just take your best faux fur jacket). I recommend the Fig Leaf Martini! Bloody good food too!

This nearby eatery was once a tyre shop, but now it is a local favourite. A lovely 10min walk from the home. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (+ takeaway woodfired pizza is ‘the’ best!) you’re sure to give it 9/10 spuds for a pretty good meal.

Tiny Wine Bar and Wine Shop in the heart of North Hobart. Slip in and let the chef whip you up something delicious and recommend the perfect accompanying wine. This little eatery is consistently pleasing. We always love to pop in here for a few wines and little shared plates and see a late night movie at The State Cinema after.

The interior of this old pub is a must see! Arguably the oldest pub in Australia, The Hope and Anchor Tavern has been a long standing water hole since the old Whopping days. Visit here for a look and a pint after you’ve browsed the Tasmanian Museum. The food is typically pub-like, but we don’t mind a cob loaf to warm the belly. Make sure to wander upstairs… you might spot a ghost.
