The best castle I've ever been to!
Great view of the city, lots of history and many different parts to it.
There's a free walking tour once you get inside and these run usually once every hour.
PS: They sound a cannon everyday at 1:00pm.

There is so much going on, especially during the festival. They'll be street performers and people promoting their shows.
The street is lined with shops, restaurants and cafes. Also the closes are neat to wander down.
At the top is the Castle and the bottom is Holyrood Palace.
