Minnewaska State Park Preserve is a 22,000 acre preserve located 15 minutes away. The park features scenic overlooks and is primarily used for hiking, mountain biking, and swimming. For info about hours and entrance fees call 845-255-0752.

Our area has miles of rail trails that are perfect for hiking and biking. Park at one of the access areas off of Binnewater Road in Rosendale, Springtown Road in New Paltz, or Legget Road in Accord.

New Paltz is on your way if you’re traveling on the Thruway. There are many great shops and restaurants in this historical town . Here are a few of our favorite spots.
The town of new Paltz was founded in the 1600s by French Huguenot. Many of the original buildings are still in place in the Huguenot Street Historic District. New Paltz is a college town with perhaps the greatest concentration of tie dye t-shirts outside of Woodstock.
