Coronado is a nearly picture-perfect, wealthy community and home to: the famous Hotel Del Coronado and a wide, white, sandy beach. The main thoroughfare is Orange Avenue where there are cafes and shops.
Warning: if you go to Coronado Beach, stay on the "Hotel Del" end of the beach as navy military airplanes land on the northern end and can blow your stuff quite far....we learned by experience!
