Admittedly, I only visited Soomaa once during the 'fifth' season, when snow and ice is melting and Soomaa is completely flooded. Canoeing through flooded forests and across floodplains was an amazing experience.

The Ice Age Centre is nearby. It is a medium-sized museum dedicated to the ice age and how this affected the local surroundings. The museum opened in 2012, which is quite recent, ensuring that the exhibition is attractive and accessible to visitors of all ages.

Beach
Saadjärv is a five-minute drive. It's one of the larger lakes in the area. The lake is very shallow and warms up quickly during summer. It is very pleasant and safe for recreation.
